I'm writing about one of my favorite radio show hosts as a kid from Power99 FM the reason why I even started my podcast and my own radio station in the first place. One of the reasons why I had a fake radio station as a kid was because of this woman, and because of Power99 FM.

This is a dope documentary that I saw on Hulu about Wendy Williams of all people, one of my childhood role models when it comes to being a talk show host from Jersey yes

At the beginning of the documentary will begin with a few short, introduction clips, and Wendy Williams, talking about her being hooked up to her lymphedema machine for about an hour

What launched her care was the infamous interview that she had Whitney Houston

Wendy Williams went on a date with a famous artist, and she pushed herself on her, 

This artist was a one-hit wonder When Williams talks about sniffing coke in this interview, and that’s one of the reasons why she became friends with Whitney Houston was because she shared that similar bond. She also worked on the documentary for Whitney Houston as well. That was on lifetime. She started off with this addiction saying was no big deal and then it became a big deal. She said she was going to the bathroom taking her head past all the way out and she hit her head one night she woke up and nobody was at the station and she was scared and freaking out she also said it was a miracle that she was even alive.

When she met her ex-husband, Kevin, he was able to influence her to stop smoking and doing drugs. At this time she was about to be 30 she met him on April 6, 1994. They met at a king skating rink. When she first met him, she found him hustler hot he was rough around the edges about two years later they went on a date and she said that he was romantic and had Kevin's new outfit and she was impressed by it. She said by the first traffic light she knew she liked them she said by the second traffic like she knew she really really liked him, then she starts to break down and cry which is done several times within this interview because it was a very crazy moment, but she wipes her tears with a Q-tip, which is something I’ve never seen somebody do you can tell by the way she feels in the video that she is very much missing him and he was a very big influence in her life before she was with Kevin she was basically by herself nobody saw her with herself during this time they had a lot of intimate talks about how they can elevate each other, and get better and better and better as a power company

On her first or second She told her ex-husband Kevin at the time who was her boyfriend that she was going to get a liposuction and breast implants and she was saying it to test to see whether he was going to say anything but he decided not to worry OK good job test a new partner with the same question. What do you think they would say? What do you think your current partner would say She really wanted to make sure she has a Pobody’s because when she was younger, she was teeth for being overweight at one point when she was a child she went through. Some issues with her parents would constantly weigh her every day and tell her that she had a cute face if she would just lose the weight, and when she was with Kevin, she felt loved and comforting and sexy and this time Kevin played such an important role because he was a protector. So they also talk about the beef a total and went to biomes and chemo comes out and addresses her thoughts about what was going on because she said a bunch of shade towards the total in Kemah said she was going to go to the office, and Miss Wendy Williams up. And everybody at the radio station was pressed at the window, trying to hide the fight up and outside. There’s a van pulls up and the whole group of total pulls up to go get into it they were ready to fight it was like yeah we from the hood but then out of nowhere her husband comes and stops to fight like a superhero like a hood night in shining armor with a wave cap yo he pulled up out of nowhere and saved any roll off. It was crazy. and the crazy thing about Wendy Williams, and her information was she was getting the information from everywhere not just the inquirer or the news or the media but also just from the streets as well like her husband was getting all this information and starting this gossip and there were so many people that would call the office starting beef, but a lot of people were scared of her husband. It was crazy.

So the doping was they talked about how she started working at Power99 FM, which is my favorite radio station. I used to listen to this all the time as a kid, because I was born in Newark New Jersey, but raised in Brownsville, New Jersey, and it would play all the time and that’s when I heard Wendy Williams for the first time That was literally the first time I started, wanting to learn about radio and beat in the radio, Wendy Williams was literally the person that made me want to be a radio show host that was the birth of .2.2 FM I literally do things just because of the fact that I want to mimic that radio station. It’s so important to my life. The artist that were on there the music that was on there the radio, so who’s that were on there? I love Wendy Williams so much.

When will you be in first out on the shelves on Power99 FM she had a lot of beef with a lot of the other DJs and she really was getting into it with the other house I didn’t know how to take her, but when she got there, she got the spotlight and she took the show to number one she wound up moving to Philly and getting pregnant and Got married and settle down and when she had her first child it was so important to her motherhood was so important to her and in this document, you see her brother or sister or mother and her father know how to close net of a family they are

But unfortunately, she wound up having a five-month miscarriage with this child it was devastating for her and it was very heartbreaking for her that she wasn’t able to have the normal pregnancy that she want it but luckily for her, she wanted him to have a child later on During this devastation is when she did get married to her husband, but she didn’t tell her family until after she got married, and she felt like once she got married life was great and that’s when she got pregnant again

And then, unfortunately, yet again, she started feeling sick and her sister was willing around to the store she wanted him to have another miscarriage and when the nurses asked her did she want to know if it was a boy or a girl she was so devastated she told him no she didn’t wanna know she didn’t wanna get close to it. She did not wanna have a bond because she was already so heartbroken and she was so heartbroken super why she didn’t know whether she was going to be able to ever have a child she felt like is God punishing me for talking about people, and she had so much depression in deep sadness and felt crazy for her, but she had resilience and she was able to bounce back even though it was just so much for her. Her sister talks about everything that she’s going through as well.

During this time it took a toll on her so much to the point where she felt like she wanted to end her marriage because she didn’t feel like she was woman enough to have a child and be married, and do all her wifely duties when she would go to work, she was really broken down and defeated. She felt like she just lost everything that made her.

But, luckily, during this time, when she was going through this devastating moment, her fans were very empathetic to his time, very loving, and they went from being very distant towards her to falling in love with Wendy Williams, that was a part of her transition into the phenomenon of Wendy Williams When she went through the miscarriages both of the miscarriages and her body was going through it and all the depression. She told her bosses in the bosses were really nonchalant about it. They didn’t even care they were like OK whatever we’ll just put the radio equipment in your house so you can raise your child and that is when she had another baby. It was a blessing for her. She really knew that a third baby. She needs to stay home and take care of her child because she did not want to risk it after having two miscarriages, and I’m not gonna lie, I would want to do the same thing.

Wow, so we get into the fact that two months after having their third baby she gets up and decides to go check on her baby and she gets a kiss or baby. Next thing you know she’s hearing him talking on the cell phone to some woman romanticizing her and she’s devastated because she has a new baby. She wanted it so bad but she also wanted this family. She also wanted a perfect husband and she feels like she was defective and ruined and I can feel her pain in her. It is crazy.

During this time, she decided to leave Power99 FM, and she wanted to find something different Basically Wendy Williams manipulated herself into a contract so she can go back to New York because she wanted to be closer to home and got herself a deal doing the Wendy Williams experience 

Kevin had complete control of everything that he was doing to the point where he was overzealous and she wanted to make sure that he could be asserted into Wendy’s circle

He want to upset a lot of people out of her circle just because he wanted certain things to go his way

So she was very naïve in her marriage and she said sometimes she would turn around at 3 o’clock in the morning and see that he wasn’t there but it started to get real. He got his own condo so he can chill and smoke with his friends and drink because she didn’t want all that mess in her house. She felt like she was civilized and didn’t want all the drugs and the drama so it was typical for her to have him gone And Kevins was the party house

Kevin was repeatedly abusing Wendy and he was such a bully that he was bullying people at the radio station to the point where he got banned from the radio station her coworkers were so immune to it until you said that they kind of thought it was OK because Wendy didn’t say anything they just became numb because Wendy was resilient. She would put all of her pain in her anger in a box to Make sure that she was able to get that show on the road. She would be angry one second and then become the WBLS host the next. She is phenomenal when it comes to getting her job done and doing her passion.

So in a very emotional detailed response from Wendy, she dialogues and documents that one time during a meeting she was not able to get started because it was 20 to 30 minutes late and her husband was still there and he was very in Fattic and very much a person who emphasizes how important it was for him to be at that meeting and he comes in late and he gives Wendy this Rolex watch, and when he was like look, let’s forget about that we needed to hurry up and get this meal so and so he gets upset and he fractures and break the table and Wendy’s is going through the pain she’s crying she’s living the whole experience. It is crazy like when everybody talks about him in the scribes and describes him as a bully.

So the next thing we hear is, Wendy goes onto the next transition, and she goes into the Wendy. Williams shows the show that we know and love to love and some of us love to hate. So they describe what Wendy Williams is like some people say she is the opera with a little bit of ratchet and others say she is more like our Howard Stern or is she like the black Jessica Rabbit what do you guys think?

One thing that I found that was, Kevin was her manager, and the executive  producer of the show as well during this time, Kevin would come out and watch Wendy and if he did not like that, she said he would give her a look and drag her off the stage 

During this time, Wendy felt like she was all sunshine and lollipops and trying to avoid the problem that was really going on in her marriage, and she kept hearing buzzings and rumblings about what was going on in her marriage so she hired a PI to find out what was going on in her marriage and sure enough she found a whole lot of things that were going on which I am sorry to hear about. during this time, Kevin had gone to Cali for business, and the PI told Wendy that Kevin was in Miami with his mistress in that picture that famous picture when she’s showing up to do the sign while they were chilling like they were in a romantic couple, and the crazy thing is Charlemagne introduced Kevin to her that is crazy.

The crazy thing is Charlemagne. The guy did not introduce him to her to get that close. It was just a business networking event, and it just went too far and was crazy because the bloggers were seeing them everywhere. Wendy was livid about that. She was talking about how you’re drinking up money and they’re in the back of a Rolls-Royce, and she had pretended like she didn’t know what was going on and acted like everything was cool why she was working on TV and out in the public petite down she was going through it.

So basically, when this interview was going on, she was talking about how she had to address the affair that her ex-husband Kevin had on the Wendy Williams show and she tried to pretend like it was all good and she showed her ring finger, but she knew deep down inside that there was nowhere to hide that it was everywhere. Everybody saw it was going on. And she felt so vulnerable and she just wanted her husband and her family back. The crazy thing was he purchased a house based upon wanting to get this family life going with this woman who was 9 miles away from Wendy Williams's home, and Wendy Williams could see it all in the tabloids. The crazy thing was they were involved for already 10 years I can’t believe that at some point she spray-painted Wendy and Kevin forever on the mailbox and then she gorilla, glued the mailbox, and spray-painted it all pink
